We launched at Godfrey Point on Oneida Lake.  Today we started our tournament a little bit later due to a massive thunderstorm that passed through the area.  The air temp. was 75 deg. F. with a slight wind, and overcast.  Surface water temp was nearly 76 degrees.

We came off the water at 1:30 PM.  The air temp. was now 89 deg. F. with very little wind.

Kevin, Lorie and Rick Schneider

Cpl. Kyle R. Schneider’s brother and parents.  Kevin is a member of our club.

Cpl Schneider was killed in Afghanistan, fighting for our country. Kyle, loved to fish and before his deployment he and Kevin fished one last time.  This tournament is dedicated in Kyle’s memory and to all of the brave men and women who serve is the armed services.

Our first place winner Tom Church worked the weed line in the lake anywhere from 2 – 12 feet, using what he calls the “rig”

The “rig” is a modified Carolina Rig.  Consisting of a fluro carbon leader, a bobber stopper before and after the weight, 4/0 wide gap hook and a black with blue flake worm.  All purchased at Bass Pro Shops in Auburn.
