The Goodoleboysbassclub held their two day Classic Tournament on August 12th and 13th. This event was sponsored by Bill Saiff Outdoors. Both days were schedule to go out of Henderson Harbor. Saturday anglers did launch out of the Henderson ramp with southeast winds. The predicted weather called for showers on and off all day with strong storms in the afternoon, which arrived for weigh in… Don Bell took the day 1 lead in the boater division with 19.70 pounds of smallmouth. John Woods followed closely with 19.58 pounds and Big Bass for day one – 5.34. Kevin Schneider rounded out the top 3 with 18.26. Cade Bacon lead the way for the co-angler division. Day 2 was moved to Chaumont Bay. Strong west winds make that decision easy. Anglers were greeted with partly sunny skies and a small craft warning starting at 2pm. The decision was made to make 1pm the time for anglers to be back to the ramp for weigh in. Don Bell lead the way for boaters on day two with a weight of 17.80 pounds and a two day winning total of 37.50. Kevin Schneider took second place with his two day total of 32.95, followed by John Woods 30.42, Mike Dixon 29.93, and Jake Wilson 24.58. The Co-Angler winner was Matthew Scott Artimus Doane!! Matthew weighed the heaviest bag of the tournament, 20.35 pounds and won the co-angler division by 9 pounds!!
