Cayuga Lake was recently ranked number 58 on bassmaster top 100 lakes in the country! Today proved to be a grind it out event for most of our club. A cold front had moved through the area around 1am the morning before. A cloudy, windy morning would give way to sunny, dead calm conditions by weigh in. Even though this was a team event, some were drawn to fish alone. Fishing alone was Duane Poole, who would win the event with over 12 pounds!
A beautiful sunrise over the lake. Photo credit here goes out to Paul Hudson.
Bill Peck gets going early with a nice largie
Tj Church and Anthony Talarico flipping the scattered weeds.
Fred Blom and Tom Hudson seem to be doing the same
Time to weigh em in! The team of Joe Valerio and Tom Zeddick had a nice bag anchored by this stud! This would end up being big bass of the tournament.
Bill Peck and Paul Hudson would weigh in shortly after. They show off their catch. Both anglers said it was a tough day but they had plenty of fun and are all smiles!
Just out of the money was the team of Dick Hyde and JJ Elmer! Huge thanks to Bass Pro shops in Auburn for providing them with a gift card for their efforts!
The team of Mike Merz and Evan Interlichia would take 3rd place with 11.43lbs. Mike has a very consistent year putting him in a great spot in the Angler of the Year race.
Second place was Joe Valerio and Tom Zeddick! The duo weighed in 12.43lbs!
That bass we saw earlier was big bass of the tournament! Once again, we thank our sponsors from Bass Pro in Auburn for providing them with a gift card! Great going guys.
Fishing alone didnt stop Duane Poole from taking first place! He weighed in 12.95lbs! Great going Duane!
