Sodus Bay Sunday, June 8th 2008 Sponsored by Visit the Pit Stops all around the Sodus Bay area.
Sunrise, and the boats are getting in the water. This was our first points tournament for 2008, and because bass season is not open yet, this is a "paper" tournament. This requires all fish that were caught to be measured, length recorded, and the fish immediately released. At the weigh-in everyone enters their 5 longest fish.
Dick Hyde finds a banana in his boat. Looks like the "B" man has stuck again. If you check the tournament standings you will find them listed by weights. How we do this was by taking the inches and converting them to pounds by using the NYS DEC "weigh your fish with a ruler" web page.
Paul Hudson with a 16 inch bass before release Everyone reports that they caught many bass, although there were a lot of sub-legal (under 12") fish.
Connell Raate and Eric Wilsey The bay was calm until 11 AM with a west wind of around 10 mph. Shortly after that a small shower came though that cooled things down for a while.
At 1:00 p.m., everyone returned to the launch, and we started de-watering the boats.
Everyone gathers around as......
The tournament committee figures the weights and standings.

How did Chris do it.
This is a new tube, his original tube is destroyed. Chris worked the inside weed edge along the shore line using the above blue and black Venom "flipping" tube, a # 3/0 Mustad hook, and a tru-tungsten weight.
