The day started out partially cloudy with the threat of rain.

But with a few rain drops later on the in the day,

the clouds broke, weather turned sunny and hot.

We launched at 7 AM

Connell Raate and Dick Hyde, just before blast off

Tom Hudson and Jack Wilson II (hang on Jack looks like he is hot on the trolling motor pedal)

Connell Raate and Dick Hyde

Labor Day weekend and the trees are just beginning to turn

Bill Kays and Kevin Schneider

Kevin (The Muskie King) Schneider

Although Kevin was fishing for large mouth bass, for a brief period of a 1/2 hr., he caught 3 muskies.

This is one of his muskies that he landed.  All released back in the water, unharmed at the time they were caught, so that others may enjoy.

During the day the wind shifted several times making it an interesting day

Jeff Botting and Dave Donhauser

We fished until 2 P.M. and then met at the dock for the weigh-in.

Bill Peck, Jack Wilson II and Bill Kays, tournament committee

The table is set up and fish start to arrive.

Fisherman begin to bring in their catches for the weigh in.

After the weigh in all the bass are released unharmed back into the lake.

Paul Hudson with a 3.87 lb large mouth bass

Just some of the nice fish that are available in Otisco Lake.

Big Bass goes to Dick Hyde with a 4.16 pound largemouth.

Dick received a gift card from Bass Pro of Auburn

Dave Donhauser takes the "Just out of the money" award, a $20.00 Bass Pro gift card donated by Bass Pro.

Tom Hudson takes 5th place with 5 bass weighting 9.02 pounds.

Jack Wilson II takes 4th place with 5 fish weighing 9.03 pounds.

Bill Kays takes 3rd place with 5 fish weighing 13.11 pounds

Duane Poole takes 2nd place with 5 fish weighting 13.56 pounds.

Jack Wilson III takes 1st place with 5 fish weighing 13.93 pounds.

And what technique did Jake use to catch his bag of fish you might ask?

Jake used a green multi colored "centipede" rigged whacky style thrown into the weeds in 3 - 10 feet of water

Congratulations Jake!
