Fair Haven Bay

This year we visit Fair Haven during the summer months. This bay has been a mainstay in out "Classic Weekend" for the last few years.

Today the weather was just perfect for fishing, with overcast skies, light winds and everyone ready to go fishing.

By persisting, it was possible to wade through many small fish and get a limit of legal bass.

 Fish came hard.  Some fisherman caught them on the surface, some on worms, etc.

 We fished until 1:00 p.m., pulled the boats, and started our weigh-in at waters edge.

The scales are set up and fish start to arrive.

It's a nice day so many spectators arrive to see the fish.

Just a few of the nicer ones that the crowd got to see.

 Nolan Edwards wins the Bass Pro Big Bass award, a $20.00 Bass Pro gift card plus cash by catching a 4.07 pound largemouth

Bass Pro in Auburn is also sponsor of the "Just out of the money" award, and has generously donated a $20.00 gift card to the angler that finishes just out of the money (6th place) each week. This week Ralph Alexander is the recipient of this award.

T.J. Church takes 5th place with 12.02 pounds.

      Kevin Haley takes 4th place with 12.49 pounds.

Tom Church takes 3rd place with 12.76 pounds.

Frank Doll takes 2nd place with 13.69 pounds

And first place goes to Nolan Edwards with 5 fish weighing in at 14.82 pounds.
