May Bass-O-Rama

Our club was invited to display at the Bass Pro "Bass-o-Rama" in Auburn NY this year. It was decided that we would have a "tackle box" raffle to raise money for our 6 man Federation Team. We contacted our sponsors, and they generously donated lots of tackle to fill the box donated by Plano. When we were all done, there was over $250.00 worth of tackle from, Venom, Bagley, Bass Pro, and donations from members.

On Friday, Greg Breen and Chris French set up the display. They did one heck of a job.

We had a very good spot right next to the fish tank and the first booth on the right as the shoppers came down the stairs to the fishing dept.

On Saturday, Ryan Smith and Paul Hudson manned the booth, and outsold the Friday crew.

On Sunday, Larry LaClair, Jack Loughrey, and Chris French kicked everyone's butts and put the club over the top for the weekend.

At 5:00 pm on Sunday, sales were closed and George Fiorille from Bass Pro drew the winning ticket.

The winner is Jim Robinson, from E. Rochester, NY. (I have omitted his address and phone number for obvious reasons.)

I called Mr. Robinson that night and informed him that he was the winner. On Monday, May 23rd the tackle box and all the tackle was sent to him via UPS.

The club would like to thank everyone how purchased a ticket. We wish that everyone could be a winner, but that just can happen.
