Good Ole Boys Two Day Classic – Oneida Lake
This is our final tournament for the 2016 season. In typical October fashion, weather was a factor. For six days straight the wind blew out of the East 12-18 mph. Not the best for a lake that runs east and west. Day 1 we switched our launch site to the east end of the lake. David Church was the day 1 leader with 12.06 lbs. Mike Dixon had the Bass Pro Shops Big Bass for Day 1 – 3.76 lbs
Day 2 of the winds let up enough to launch from Godfrey Point on the North side of the lake. The day started out overcast and turned partly cloudy about 11:00am. Some found a morning overcast bite, while others said they left them biting with the sun out. Tom Church brought in 17.83 pounds on day 2. This was the big bag for the tournament, and enough to jump from 3rd place on day 1 to 1st after day 2. Jon Metot caught the Bass Pro Shops Big Bass of day 2 with a very nice small mouth, 4.21 pounds
